The Neo-Missionaries and their Fascism
Zuheir Kseibati Al-Hayat - 11/10/07//
Iraq will not remain the only item in the platforms, campaigns and debates by candidates to succeed George Bush. Iran's star is shining, as some of the candidates try to turn this star of fundamentalism, extremism and terror into a giant planet that the Americans should prepare to destroy, before it destroys their civilization.
Former senator and television actor Fred Thompson calls it "Islamo-fascism," which he and his fellow new missionaries relish in labeling everything that is Islamic, in the context of a general mobilization to confront the terror that is march forward "to destroy America and its western civilization."
The first star in this race to the White House is a war in and against Iraq, which has produced rivers of blood, laying siege to the Americans there, and the Congress, for thinking about partitioning Iraq - in order to have pity the Iraqis! - to rid the Senate of its complex about the historical sin committed by the US through cheating and deception to justify the invasion.
The second star is the plan for a war to "discipline" an Iran that is rebelling on the monopoly of the world's great powers on the ability to enrich uranium and thus possess a nuclear bomb. Whenever Tehran persists in this challenge, it gives the competitors for the White House new pretexts to begin the race to another war in the Gulf, whose consequences - if the desire for vengeance becomes unrestrained and extends to Iranian orbits - are known by all.
The first star involves plans to save a failed war, which warns of even greater disasters for the region if the Americans hurry to reduce the number of coffins, while the second has a "preventative" plan, an Iranian bomb whose "prestige" will widen the wings of the Islamic Republic and strengthen its hands in the heart of the Arab world, far away from Isfahan, Boucher, and Natanz. In both situations the Arabs are the losers, along with the two stars, and it remains only to identify the option that is preferred when it comes to the consequences and the price to be paid.
If the "preventative" war with Iran will prepare strategically for moving the battle to the land of the enemy, before it manages to hurt the nuclear monopoly and go even further, then for the Americans it's all the same if the Iranians and Arabs split the price of the option of force, to see that the greatest power remains safe.
However, have things remained this way, four years after Iraq was saved from the Saddam Hussein regime? The simplest answer is the protection of America by spy weapons, even against its own citizens, the rise of empty positions that should be filled with spies at home (in the US) and by mercenaries in an Iraq whose occupying power needs someone to protect it.
Between the US arrogance and the Iranian foolhardiness, the star of war once again shines brightly in the skies of the region, and the ugliest part of it is certainly the consequences that it will bestow upon the opportunism of some "heroes" of the presidential marathon to the White House, such as those who remind their citizens that the America has carried the torch of freedom to the world, is a Christian America, just like the Israelis when they arouse the instinctual fear of the image of a Jewish state, despite the huge differences between the two cases. In both cases, things will not get better except through racism, discrimination and being closed-off to the outside world. The great "Christian power" was never great without that torch, which has brought down dictatorships and changed the face of the world.
The third star is shining in the minds of some people, who are warning mankind about an eternal "total war," under the banner of the west and its civilization, against Islamo-fascism, despite all of the sacrifices in lives and treasure after 11 September 2001, to confront the battalions of extremists… and as a price to pay for the stupidity of American vengeance.
The neo-missionaries in the US, such as Thomson, are the ones who spread ignorance and are a carbon copy of the neo-conservatives, but are much more dangerous. They spread hostility to every Muslim that might be "hiding" in fascist cells; they move the struggle from Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East to Europe and the great US, and 1,000 bin Ladens are cloned in the Islamic world. In the view of these missionaries, the world is turning into Christian and Islamo-fascist continents, which requires a complete mobilization. In the confused dreams of these people, the Americns are strong, as long as they are "fighting on all fronts."
A bright consequence of the "war on terror" is the madness of mobilization, which still in its beginnings. They talk about the image of America in the world, and the health of bin Laden in his cave.
