I Despise his Opinions
Jihad el Khazen Al-Hayat - 25/08/05//
I have in front of me nearly 1 Kg of paper; I weighed them on a special devise to weight the mail inside the administration’s office. Most of this mail explains the endless insolence of the neo-cons in pushing the Bush administration towards going to war against Iraq; a war which is nearly destroying the country, a great part of the region and the US interests in the entire region as well.
This mail was sent to me due to line of work, I did not order any of it. I was away from my office for two weeks, when I returned I gathered what was available from the sources I usually depend on, and I chose for the readers of my column the following:
- -The New York Post daily, known to be biased towards Israel, in one of its front page editorials, wrote about the “Sacrifice in Iraq”. The sacrifice was carried out by the US marines. There was also a paragraph that reads exactly: “If there is to be any success in quelling the Iraq insurgency, it will occur when the Syrian border is sealed off and the foreign invasion is brought to an end.”
First, those who sacrificed the lives of the US marines are the Israelis inside the American administration, and those who abducted the American foreign policy towards the Middle East and transformed and placed it in favor of Israel.
Second, Syria is a superpower and we are not aware of that. Is there anyone in this world who believes that Syria is responsible for what is happening in Iraq. Neither the invasion blunders, nor the war lies can cover up the reality. Of course there is limited infiltration from Syria towards Iraq, however Syria is not a counter-weight of the coalition forces coming from different countries under the US command. I wish that was the case:
-
Charles Krauthammer in the
Commentary Magazine wrote a long editorial quoting Fouad Ajami and explaining the war in Iraq as he desires. Then he asks: what comes after Afghanistan and Iraq. He answers himself by saying: first comes Lebanon, then Syria and after that Egypt, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and then Pakistan.
On behalf of all these state I would like to tell Mr. Krauthammer: NO WAY. I would also like to add that I don’t hate anyone. I do not even hate Mr. Krauthammer, who is an Israeli Likudist, but I despise his opinions.
- The Washington Times, a strong supporter of the Israeli right wing Likud Party gave the opportunity for Frank Gaffney, an accomplished supporter of the Likud Party, to write a column entitled “…Old Saudi Games”, where he accused Saudi Arabia of claiming friendship with the US and funding terrorism at the same time. He also claimed that Saudi Arabia is raising the prices of oil and lowering as it sees fitting.
To this last point I would like to say: I wish this were the case, and if you don’t like our prices don’t buy from us. With regards to the claim that Saudi Arabia is funding terrorism or groups that have become terrorist groups, I would like to say that the US previously supported the Islamic groups in every country throughout the decades of the cold war in order to confront the Soviet Union. Now these groups have turned against its former ally.
- The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) is defiled just like its name. It is an Israeli institution that is attempting to strengthen the military relations between the US and Israel. Even when the former sold American military technology to China after the US administration had imposed sanctions on China, the US could not bear the Israeli betrayal despite the complete American bias towards Israel.
I read two articles published by this institution on two successive days. In the first article the writer was expressing his fears that the Jordanian people’s opposition to the American policies would effect Jordan’s alliance with the US in the war on terrorism, leading to the hindrance of the Jordanian government’s reforms. In the second article the writer abstained from criticizing Ariel Sharon’s decision to pullout from Gaza, however he has his reservations towards the plan and he registers Sharon’s mistake.
The common point between the two articles is that (JINSA) did not want to criticize Sharon because Israel is a democratic state. Then again, Israel is tacitly upset by the inclinations of the public opinion in Jordan as registered by many public opinion polls, for democracy in Jordan does not suit Israel.
- Susan Gershowtiz and Emanuelle Ottolenghi wrote an article published by the American Enterprise Institution (AEI) one of the neo-cons strongholds, entitled “Europe’s problem with Sharon”.
I found this eight-page article to be strange because the last three pages consist of references for the first five pages, while the whole subject does not deserve a single line. Indeed, Sharon has a problem with the entire world and those who defend him are partners in his crimes.
- It is quite wicked for the Likud party members in the US to outbid Sharon. In the “National Review” Joel Rosenberg wrote an article entitled “Surrendering Gaza”, saying that Benjamin Netanyahu took the right decision of resigning from the government. Rosenberg documented his reasons for being against the Israeli pullout from Gaza and spoke about Sharon’s mistakes in implementing the plan.
- John H. Hinderaker is even more insolent that the former, for he published an article in the Weekly Standard which is a magazine speaking on behalf of the neo-cons, under the title: “Fences and a Just Peace.” The subtitle of the article reads: “The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America makes a stand against Israel’s security fence and in favor of a ‘just peace’.” (Never mind Palestinian terrorism.)
Sharon is the father and mother of Israeli terrorism. He who cover up for him is his alike. Many American Churches took the decision of putting an end to their investments in Israel. The new Pope reprimanded Israel lately. Then comes this applaud to protest.
- Deroy Murdock in the National Review went to the extreme in an article published in the journal. He found “good news” in Iraq however the press is not publishing it as he maintains. He particularly spoke of the increase in the number of Iraqi security forces from 125373 in January to 175700 elements today. Of course he did not mention that the American military leadership itself said that the Iraqi forces are incapable of controlling security and that only a part of it is operative. As a result Iraqis are killed daily because of the insane terrorism that Iraq did not know prior to the occupation.
These good news are the reason behind the abyss we are in, along with the US. The only party that benefits from the situation is Israel, thanks to the well known efforts of its gang.
